Hi Paseo owners.

I'm sorry that i'm in English, i'm not too good on German.

I'm currently trying to combine the ultimate Paseo fact file, with endless ammounts of information.

Can anyone here help me out with what Paseo models you had? (such as the S model) and what these came with as standard (like the S had the TTE lip and wheels)

Any help would be brilliant.

I'm Sam from the UK. I've been a Paseo enthusiast for around 10 years now, and i'm only 16   fettgrins

I have just recently set up my website for worldwide Paseo facts, and i have just stripped my second Paseo for spares. My mum owns the UK's limited edition model (1997 Paseo Galliano) and my auntie owns a 1996 Paseo Si model (higher). The Galliano is one of 50 limited run Paseo's for the UK, in 576 Yellow with aquamarine decals. The UK didn't see a normal yellow Paseo so we had it as a limited edition - we also never had the dark green, magenta mica or coral wreath, neither the L4 or Convertible  heul (UK market really sucked for Paseo's..)

Anyway, thank you for your information on the cars, I will get a little translation done, I know a select few words but cannot string a sentance together Tongue (though i will learn Smiley )

Anyway, here are some photos of my collection of Paseo's, please feel free to check out my website for the information on the American, UK and Japanese markets model information for the Paseo.

And how it looked when i stripped parts off to sell - project got too much to handle with repairs.


And this is my aunties Paseo Si (this is the higher model for the UK) and its totally standard. Been my aunties for 10 years now, scratches about but no rust, no dents and mechanically sound Smiley

Hi there.

I'm from Hungary, and i'm also an owner of a L5 Paseo.
I just want to say Hello Smiley

As the Paseo never been sold officially in Hungary and this car is quite rare here, we have no such a community for Paseos.
I've bought the car in 2006. I do like the shape of the car, but i was not really impressed about the performance of the engine.
So, i decided to tune the car, but i knew, that the 5E-FE engine is not really designed for tuning.
My choice was a little bit radical: the 4A-GE silvertop 20V engine. I've bought and imported one from USA (the car is originated from USA also). The swap was finished in June 2007.
I'm not a car mechanic, so the honour is not mine, my friend made everything.
Of course, the running gear has been changed: custom springs and shock absorvers, Avensis front brakes, Corolla GTi disc brakes rear, spacers, etc.

This setup is reliable, as i've been driven ~20k kilometers with it, since the swap.

Really nice!! I hope we meet us. so I will look after your engine. I interested after your swap in my garage is also an 4A-GE engine but wen I take a mesuringetape I must say: I cant do this engine in this car curse the engine is to big.

Hi,

Do you mean: "pictures from the sides of the engine?" Otherwise, i don't know what is a Sid Smiley
I'll make some pics about the interesting points. You have to so some modification on the body to fit the gearbox.
Do you know the specs 4A-GE engine series? If not, beware: there are some series (especially bigport AFM), that won't give the difference, what you are expecting, IMHO.
There was a guy, who put a blacktop into a red L4 Paseo. It can be found here:

Watching those brakes, i'm not suprised he crashed that car...

Never had problems with its performance and it is exciting every time, when the idicator of the tachometer leaves the calibrated range Wink
I was really happy, when the stage1 (engine and drivetrain swap only) was complete, i quickly made a video of acceleration capabilities. There was AE92 GTi Corolla clutch in stage1, but it proven weak.

I hope you got a lot of fun with it.
In Germany you got so many different problems when you wanna swap the engine... It's incredible...

I wount too see the Angle of the Engine. So the Engine is 4cm to big for the Paseo. The Gear box is not the Problem I have more den one Gearbox vrom the 5 E-FE and the 4A-GE.
